Floating my boat
New albums from Phoenix, Röyksopp and Super Furry Animals are all great and well worth checking out
Also been loving the Blackbelt Anderson album which is one fans of Lindstrom and electronic nu balearic beats will like, as is the excellent Cosmic Balearic Beats Vol 1 compilation on Eskimo How about you? |

Re: Floating my boat
The new Lindstrom & Prins Thomas album is pretty stellar. It feels like the natural evolution of what these guys have been doing over the past few years and has a more organic, live instrumentation sound whilst maintaining that cosmic italo krautrock vibe of theirs

Re: Floating my boat
Im finding the Royksopp album quite forgetable... I like 'Happy Up Here' but its the only track that makes any impact for me really.

Re: Floating my boat
i'm really enjoying 'this must be it' as well -other than that it's either a bit anonymous; or at times it's a pile of poo with some absolutely dreadful lyrics flying around...

Re: Floating my boat
What about 'The Girl And The Robot'? That's got to go down as one of the best things they've ever done. I wasn't expecting much from the new album so think I was pleasantly surprised. There's a couple of tracks I'm not feeling but the hit to miss ratio on this album is much higher than 'The Understanding'. It seems to be picking up pretty good reviews too.

Re: Floating my boat
really? it like a 2-year-old madonna track to me (especially half-way through when they filter the bass)
