new mix
So, this is a live mix I finished earlier today... ok, well - technically... the first twenty minutes or so I did in one take a few days ago, after I got done with a looooooong day of echo cardiograms, stress tests, blood tests, x-rays, etc etc (will get to that later); then the next forty minutes or so I did in one take this afternoon. The ambient track that becomes a bit more prominent at around 23 minutes is what I used to 'bridge' the two sections (it's a track I made last year for an installation piece - and is only a little bit 'cringe-worthy' and not too embarrassing to me at least). So I don't know how "live" you could say it is. I also have it labeled as "unmastered audio" just as some of the parts here and there might be a little 'hot' and I haven't had a chance to listen to it and check recording levels and whatnot yet.

Oh, and the title - long story short ... I'm (almost certainly) fine. I still have a cat scan scheduled for September, but again... the likelihood that anything's wrong is slim to none. I just had some funky things going on that usually are signs of serious health problems (like lung cancer) ... buuuut all my tests so far came back negative (as in good for me), and the title is what the last doctor told me, and I just thought it was so ridiculous and kinda funny in a perverse way; like "well - you almost certainly don't have cancer! yay!"

And also during that same visit, she (the doctor) was like, "oh I recently had a patient just like you come in within a few recent months, but you know... it turned out to be terminal within 6 months or so... oh I'm sorry I have to step out for a second". Then she left the room for a good ten minutes, came back in, and said "oh, where was I again?"... I kinda smirked and said back - something to the effect of "you were telling me about this guy who had the same symptoms as me and had terminal cancer....".

Re: new mix
Better late than never. Nice one! I see a few elements of Lavelle's Noir Mix in there.

Re: new mix
Very nice & eclectic tracklist. Excellent mix. Just as deep & dark as I needed. I love it. Thanks a lot joethelion (and all my best wishes for the good health).

Re: new mix
wouldn't normally bump a mix by me - but thought I should update

.. I had my CAT scan today and... I found out -
1) the dye that they pump into you for a cat scan gives you a body rush that feels almost exactly the same as the one you get when you drink absinthe
2) My scan came back normal. I'm in good health!!!

...now, I feel like I should go out and do really unhealthy things tonight!
