Bass question
So I don't know about the rest of you, but I've found it surprisingly difficult to get a good, pure, sub-bass type of sound working in my music. Specifically, I mean bass like in the version of "Swords" by Leftfield that's on the "Go" soundtrack starting 3:50 into the song. I use Reason exclusively, so has anyone come across a good bass sound like that in Reason that they can recommend I try?
Thanks!

Re: Bass question
get a sine wave going. turn the resonance all the way up and use a low pass filter. it will be pretty severe, but you can play with that and get a pretty punchy low sound. put a flanger on it, or use two at once to make it bigger. then i'd suggest re-sampling that sound with just one held not. or bounce it to audio, whatever you prefer... then load it into the sampler of reason. you'll get some good results from that.
that's 5 bucks.

Re: Bass question
Ah, thanks Professor. I've tried a sine wave before, but never really messed with it successfully enough to find what settings worked best. I'll give what you mentioned a try.
And thanks to all the wise-asses, too. Now I want a cold beer.
