Six Feet Under

I've never seen this show (as a non-cable subscriber, I tend to only check things out on DVD). I was reading interesting things about it...anybody want to tell me to skip it, or drop what I'm doing to see it.

i've seen all the stuff that they have out on dvd now (seasons 1 - 4) and give it a *thumbs up*. the first two seasons in particular are pretty solid.

some of the story lines get a little crazy / fucked up as the seasons progress (or at least more crazy and fucked up than they were before) , but i will still be anxiously awaiting the fifth and final season to come out on dvd.

thoughts from anyone else?

good show. well worth watching, especially if you liked American Beauty (SFU is way better at times)

seasons 1 and 3 are my favorite, followed by 2 and 5 then 4... it's always a bit strange and morbid and nobody's ever happy but at its best it's really real slice of life type stuff with riveting characters and at its worst it's an HBO soap opera... definitely worth renting!
