Mike Pence has a long record of supporting so-called gay conversion therapy and jailed a woman for 20 years for having an abortion. So yes, he is that bad and worse.

He'll fit well with Jeff Sessions, new attorney general, the man considered too racist to be a federal judge even thirty years ago - now set to be the boss of every federal judge in the land. As will thrusting young alt.righters like Bannon.
Of course it isn't just your upcoming government - right wing populism seems to be a phenomenon sweeping right across western liberal democracies at the moment. Trump is just the biggest embodiment of it to date. |

The sentiment he has raised and emboldened is downright terrifying. Even in my liberal haven of Seattle we've seen a notable uptick in hate crimes and hate fueled vandalism. I am right fearful for where we are headed socially, even without the political and legal implications of a Trump presidency.
