HELP NEEDED: Unknown Orange Vinyl
Hi people,
Been listening to a brilliant epic 17min techno-trance tune from 1993/1994 for a couple of years after it was posted by Acid Ted on his blog in 2008. As far as I can tell, he still doesnt know what it is and I have tried to find out without prevail. So i'm asking the dirts for help here. You can download/stream the song here and after you've got your mind together after listening to it at least 5 times (as I had to do, its so hypnotic and addictive) you'll hopefully be able to tell me who it is! It really does build and build and has lots of layers, and is reminiscent of the Dark & Long remixes in that it rolls and rolls, adding and removing elements and peaking and troughing. It has a sample in it which appears to be "Close Your Eyes". The initial beats are very Brown-era Orbital, the later layering of melodies are almost Underworldy. I've searched for orange vinyl, for songs called Close Your Eyes on discogs from 1992-94, nada. And ive tried SoundHound/Shazam so... HELP!

Re: HELP NEEDED: Unknown Orange Vinyl
This could be an answer..... ill check it out in a sec
The John Acquaviva Mix - John Acquaviva Album: The best of X-Mix part 1 / Laurent Garnier/ Richie Hawtin/ John Aquaviva/ Dave Angel This is what Shazam gave me... listening to Acquaviva's stuff there is a close similarity and id say this is a mix ... the x-mix's had single tracks with many songs within them - this 17min track could be one of them... .... but but this is a vinyl version right? So according to discogs... http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-B...release/319031 On disc two of X-mix 1 (CD VERSION) John Acquaviva mix tracktime - 43:54 Richie Hawtin mix tracktime - 29.13 You can get about 17mins onto one side of a vinyl right? so perhaps this is either one half of Hawtin's mix or 1/3 of Acquaviva's mix.... Anyone able to find these mixes online to check it out?
