The Chemical Brothers: Surrender
10 years old this month!

I can still remember buying this at the local JB Hi-Fi and playing it my awesome new car. A little bewildered at first but grew quickly on me. Still stands out today and in my Top 5 albums of all time.

Wow, this makes me feel really old now, because I can vividly remember the day that I bought this album. I'd just completely ballsed up an exam at university and, in my utterly depressed state on the rainy journey home, stopped off at the local music shop to discover that it had just been released that morning. "Sunshine Underground" made me feel a lot better when I got home.

Woww!! I remember the day this came out too! I was 13 years old and looooved the Chems. I had a subscription to Spin I think and I remember them saying how disappointed everyone was that it didn't sound like Dig Your Own Hole. People rag on the Chems a lot lately but I honestly think they have not really fallen too much from their heyday and deserve credit for giving up on big beat when they realized that it was a dead end. I'll be listening to this one on the ride home today

Surrender is great. Haven't listened to it in a long time so I'm gonna put it on right now!
