This amuses me, because I am yet another UW fan that likes New Order. Weird.

Re: The Stereotypical Underworld Fan?
Stereotype?? Hmmm.. don't think so. You do definitely get a varied crowd at the gigs.
One thing that did annoy me slightly at the last Roundhouse gig was a small group of 'chavs' only there for Born Slippy.. and apparently quite a few people were leaving after it had been played! What a waste.

Anyway, I am SO looking forward to Brighton and 2 nights at Brixton, and hope that Dirty Epic and Juanita are played at least on one of those nights!

Re: The Stereotypical Underworld Fan?
Thanks everyone for the replies.

I have to say it's been a mini ambition of mine to see Underworld live for a few years. I was a fan since Beaucoup Fish, and the Everything, Everything DVD blew me away - I had to see them live!

I'm not a huge fan of concerts though unless the artist does something special, or just has that something - which Underworld seem to have.

The thing that annoys me about concerts is simply the manners of some of the audience. I'm just going there to dance and have a good time, and although there's the inevitable pushing and shoving it can often get nasty, with people pushing in front unfairly.

Oh well, so I don't know what to wear to fit in with the non-existent stereotype. T-shirt and jeans I guess

Anyway, roll on Friday!

48 yr old bearded ex book and archive conservator - t shirt and addidas trackies is my u/w "look" (and every other look for that matter)

I HATE it when ppl shove in front of me at gigs, quite often while precariously carrying one or more pints of lager. However, worse was at one of the recent Roundhouses when the 3 guys in my immediate vicinity weren't moving at all! - not even a head nod or tap of foot - what were they doing there?? - I just had to get away from them

Re: The Stereotypical Underworld Fan?
oh is this quick descrip thread?
k.
23 yr old graphic designer/photographer looking for gainful employment somewhere/anywhere decent in california. i dance at concerts and when no ones looking. i dont like clubbing much. scratch that i dont even like parties much...
i find myself in the front at underworld gigs because i'm usually one of the first few there, but since i'm 6'4" i dont get pushed around often and i deliberately make it hard for those who try. although i might get a little obstructively into it when the actual concert is happening but i try not to...
next time im custom making a uw shirt like BLD did and it will be amazing...

Re: The Stereotypical Underworld Fan?
27 year old drummer/musician

Been a fan since hearing Underworlds remix of Orbitals Lush and Dubnobasswithmyheadman came out!

Wear cons, bootcut jeans (great for covering hanging shoelaces!!) usually black t-shirt, short jackets!!

Like all styles of music, not really a massive fan of New Order. Fave bands - Mansun (check out the album Six), Swervedriver (check out the album Raise), The Wildhearts (check out the album Fishing For Luckies), Big Country (check out the soundtrack 'Restless Natives'), Beck and of course the mighty Underworld!

Clubbing is not my thing, prefer a late pub/bar or gig and making music but do occasionally have a dance!

Don't know why Im giving you this useless info so I'll stop!!
