Re: UWRLIVECD-002
I'll get the ones I'm going to... and maybe the others if the tracks or arrangements are different. Comparing the youtube clip from Boston to the Birmingham and Norwich gigs, I think Bamboo is 'getting worked out live on stage' as King of Snake was, so it might get better/more experimental as the tour goes on.
For reference, here's a list of tracks that UW have played on this tour so far that are NOT on the Birmingham CD: Luetin Dirty Epic Spikee Skyscraper Juanita Mo Move New Train (not sure how this differs from Dark Train?) Rowla You Do Scribble Moaner If there's a Norwich CD, it would cover 4 of these (Dirty Epic, Rowla, Moaner, You Do scribble) Last edited by Lx_Nen; 10-12-2007 at 08:01 AM. |

Re: UWRLIVECD-002
I'm impressed that they can do this - it must take some serious gear to record everything, then burn multitudes of discs to sell right there at the gig. That's badass.

Re: UWRLIVECD-002
might have been the pixies, i think. i remeber p-fork losing their heads over it.
then big labels were like "wtf is this you cant do this unless we're seeing money from it and we're not interested in doing this anyway so we'll buy out whatever companies are doing this. bye." ah yes. |

Re: UWRLIVECD-002
It's not that hard. Someone can be monitoring, mastering, and tracking throughout the show. With just 2 or 3 High-speed, high-capacity CD-R duplicators like this:
http://www.stordigital.com/roboticdvdcdcopy1000.html you can pump out 300-400 discs per hour. Those duplicators only cost about $2000-3000 each. The packaging and CD-R's can be pre-printed and pre-silkscreened. According to their website, Live Here Now has been doing this since Dec. 2004. I think InstantLive was also doing it at least since 2004, because they did all the PWEI Reformation gigs in Jan. 2005, including a DVD release at one of the shows. |
