Re: Riverrun On Disc
ok,

since i've been out of it for awhile now,
what was the reception of the riverrun on
vinyl series?

did it do ok?

did most people ignore it?
did a few fans get it?

i'm wondering how well those mixes were recieved?

i'm enjoying them a lot now, because i finally got
them on vinyl..

Re: Riverrun On Disc
as a post script to this thread, i wasn't sure if anyone was aware that all of the vinyl only released river run remixes are available at Beatport as digital downloads,

https://www.beatport.com/

including all three pig & dan mixes of Play Pig, if no one has these i'd suggest going over to Beatport and picking them up....

Re: Riverrun On Disc
hey, -1
long time no see

but from what I recall about the RiverRun 12" -es; the 'set' was pretty 'well received'... most fans either bought them through hmv.co.jp or had to wait untill they were released in the UK

I wouldn't say that any of the tracks were massively played out... like - there wasn't a rush for a specific 'banging mix'... but you would find the "Play Pig" or the Vanilla Monkey mixes popping up in random dj sets

Re: Riverrun On Disc
I'm good with them as they were - I saw them as musical sketches that the boys wanted us to all hear, and so tossed them out for a few bucks. I don't think they need to be on disc, I'd certainly consider buying it but I think that asking for them to be on disc is kind of like asking for all the many many other random jams, intro/outros and mashes to be on disc, there's really no need as it's all just more material to enjoy.

Re: Riverrun On Disc
i agree, that some of the tracks were definitely 'in progress' works,
but overall, including the mixes, i think these were better overall
than the current OWB...

in fact, i find myself listening to these more now..
