Re: The Underworldlive.com thread
With a new deal signed, i think things must be merging together by now. I doubt they'll tour before having a new record finished.

--- Underworld, UNKLE sign with Traffic (6th April 2007) This time, Traffic brings you information about Underworld and UNKLE's signing up to Traffic for the Japan region. Underworld's Karl Hyde (Vo/G) and UNKLE's James Lavelle, and Traffic's Company President Hiroshi Nakamura [I guess Hiroshi, there's a few ways to read that name] made the contracts and had the following to say about it: * Karl Hyde (Underworld): We been able to work with Traffic's Ray Hahn [spelling?] Hiroshi Nakamura for a long time, and they have assembled a great team of very talented people, so I'm very pleased to enter into a contract with them. We're really looking forward to this exciting new venture. In cooperation with traffic, Rick and I are incredibly excited about bringing the "world of underworld" to Japanese fans. * James Lavelle (UNKLE): I'm really happy to be able to release a new album with Japan's coolest label! * Hiroshi Nakamura (Traffic): The dance music scene's biggest hit, Underworld, and the street culture scene leader, UNKLE, both artists continue to represent the spirit of the art of the 90s [ugh, hard to translate]. It's a huge honour to sign this sort of artist and it will surely be a great honour to carry their projects. Underworld's first single is planned for this summer, and their 5th original album is planned for release this autumn. UNKLE's 3rd original album is set for release in June. After this, expect more releases from both artists! [bios of the two followed] ----- Cheers, - Matthew [edit: Duh, 6th of April not May.. obviously] |

Re: The Underworldlive.com thread
I'm thinking they(Rick and Karl), or their assistant Danielle, or whoever, checks this thread often. A couple days back in reply to a conversation here regarding a track called All These Things appeared on the home page.
Regarding the webcast, there was a cryptic myspace group message that went out stating the following: in progress Listen to Dirtyradio!!! If the above link does not automatically start your default music program please run your music program and use its "play location/url" feature to enter the following address: http://ct1.fast-serv.com:9486 new stuff ? old stuff ? unreleased stuff... ![]() The message was sent at 11:59am PST Wednesday, April 26th. Unfortunately I was unable to listen in as I had a meeting to attend to 12:10. But then I noticed no real word or conversation here on the site so I figured it slipped underneath the radar or there was no new material played. Either way, it's been far to long since good groovy vibes have been heard from the world of lemon broadcast over the lines. In light of this discussion I played the last webcast broadcast at the theater pub I work at last night. It was nice to listen to on a loud system. Last edited by grady; 04-28-2007 at 01:06 PM. |
