I Agree with you TheBang, this should become the official cue sheet except I feel that 11 Hundred Hz should start with the note right away as in Jan's version so I suggest change it to :

TRACK 05 AUDIO
TITLE "11 Hundred Hz"
PERFORMER "Underworld"
INDEX 01 28:12:44

Re: "I'm a Big Sister..." thread.
Loving this more and more with each listen. Certainly not as urgent as the beat-heavy "Lovely Broken Thing" or darkly lyrical as "Pizza For Eggs", but these soundscapes are just beautiful!

Anyone catching the vocal samples, some we've heard before: "I'm a lonely bollock. Sometimes, happy bollock"! Throughout "Peach Tree" there's a phased and vocoded female voice, sounds to me like "I'm not imitating..."

Also, have you noticed that this latyest River Run, but indeed all of them, have made a lot of use of inserted silences? That is, the music or Karl's vocals have short spaces of silence at various frequencies, so it sounds very spaced. "Peach Tree" does this with the two pads, but the frequencies at which they alternate are different, so that sometimes they construct and sometimes they are out of phase. Karl's vocals on "Mowed Path" are also very spcaed, making them sound "beep"-like. I think the delays are used a lot on the guitar parts on "P4E", especially.

uck, lovely broken thing is good... but since then the series is getting progressively worse.

they need to stop releasing these b-sides and crack on with the full album!

Karl already said that these releases are from the archive and that work continues on the album. Some tracks may be considered to be b-sides, but some of Underworld's best work has been on a b-side If these releases really were slowing down their album release proper then I might see how someone could complain, but since theyve been working on the album and on the soundtrack (and now another soundtrack), your argument is a bit redundant. Horses for courses, as they say. Some like it, some dont.

Yeah, I was using a bad splitter on my Mac, and when I used that timing, it cut the first part of the piano note into the previous track. I tried it with Cue Splitter on a PC though, and that timing seems correct, so I've fixed it on my cue sheet. Thanks.

Personally, I thought LBT kinda blew it, what with the first three tracks being awesome and the rest being boring as hell. I do like the sound of the release though...I think that it should be longer, as UW doesn't get much of a chance to just sit down and chill out. Sort of the direction I was expecting them to take with the RRP, but this time I don't really hear any standouts, nothing like "JAL to Tokyo" or "Back in the Fears" that could be played live.

Re: "I'm a Big Sister..." thread.
I have been listening to this loads over the past couple of days. For me, Peach Tree is a masterpiece. The transition from Peach Tree into Mowed Path gives me total goosebumps every time, it is so beautifully crafted and balanced. And the final piano piece is quite lovely, with undertones of Keith Jarrett about it (as I prolly already said somewhere, I think).

In terms of what will be on the album and what won't, though, I would be surprised if much of the RiverRun stuff made it to an album at all. Not because it doesn't deserve to be there, but because it strikes me that this was a very definitive non-physical project, a new way of marketing music as complete "pieces" rather than singles/EPs/albums. From that point of view, all three releases have been a great success for me. Each has its own flavour and emotion about it. I am still not decided whether Big Sister is my favourite of the three or not, but it is a difficult decision to make.

This time also worked using MP3DirectCut. Thanks!

more like 1 a-side with 4 c or d sides (for the other RRs)...

but as for this RR i feel this is final a RR that I can
FULLY sink my teeth into (for the other RRs I could
only listen to select tracks). This release doesn't
really have stand out tracks, but it doesn't need it
AT ALL and I wouldn't want it.

...now that it has been re-encoded to 192 I have no
complaints at all.
