The only bid we can find from before that period is, again, on an item from the same seller, analog_model. And, in fact, the winterroth123 account was created on March 11, the same date as the first bids on that item.

It all looks very fishy to me...
Good spot.
It looks very strange to me...

Well, if he just started collecting he couldn't really have had an account before, could he...? I just don't see the logical connection between a long history of ebay bidding and the user's ability to bid on some rarity. Of course, I don't know if he really is bidding up the price. $122 is way too much for me anyway so I've already lost interest in the auction.

as much as i'd agree with you...

i have to say that if you had just started collecting would you seriously start buying one of the most expesnive items you could, surely you would pick up some cheaper bits first...

personally if i was selling a rare item at a high price i'd be very wary of bidders with 0 feedback and would investigate their intentions off ebay, by contacting them...this the seller may have done...

but asd a bidder on an auction like this it does lead me to be a bit wary too...the price has shot up because of two bidders with no feedback at all...

just seems a bit sus...but we'll see what happens at the end (i've emailed teh sleler and am waiting to hear from him as well..)

Re: collectors' corner
The third option is that the bidder is one of those irresponsible ones who drive up the price with no intention of honouring their bids. They are a pain in the ass for both seller and well-meaning bidders.

About bidding on cheaper stuff first - maybe, but personally I have sold a few quite expensive items to bidders with low or zero feedback, but I've had non-payers as well

Look forward to what the seller has to say about his zero-feedback bidders Let us know...

Re: collectors' corner
so my 8 track Buick Project (Remixes and Production) Showreel CD arrived today featuring two excellent remixes of Vanilla Monkey...

the Buick Project being Nic Fanciulli & Andy Chatterley...

the first mix, Buicks Early Doors remix is quite minimal in its featuring of Underworld (hardly any KH Vocals), but you certainly know its Vanilla Monkey...its a nice building groove

the second mix, the Buick Project Mix - is likely to be the one on a 12" or something, it features more of the instrumentation of teh original and more mumbled KH lyrics...

maybe both will feature on CD or 12" somewhere..i'd like to see that but if i was to choose one, it'd be the second mix...neither mix is an instant classic, but then again they are really quite far away from the original version and so do the job well, i'm not sure everyone will like them, but i do, its the kind of track that plays and you wonder what it is, and when someone tells you you go.. oh...and then try and find it

the production and remix quality are excellent, i hope the boys like what these and all the remixers are doing with their current work...
