I tried it as you suggested. In the beginning it sounds reasonable, but after 2,5 minutes JAL just gets too off.

JAL and long

This is just a sloppy mix (I roughly spent 9 minutes on it) to get a sense of how the two tracks are together, so dont expect it to be perfect .

I used a radio rip I had floating around on my hdd, so JAL ends a bit cut off . Since i was recording anyway, I messed around with "dark and long" till that track was finished.

Icke - what do you use to try to mix songs?

Anyone out there have links to good software / tutorials to get started?

Yep. This is not half bad for only 9 mins work, Icke. I am sure if you put a little more time into it you could come up with something lush... hint hint...

i used Virtual DJ for this one. If I am going to make a proper mashup of these two tracks, ill cut out nasty bits, loop good parts etc., and sequence it all in ACID.

I think I am going to do another Underworld mash first though. It'll be an Underworld track and a Chemical Brothers track, yet it'll be pretty cool and mellow .

Re: dal to tokyo
Cool! Worked better than I thought (especially for a 'sloppy' mix).

The part around 5:00 is cool where the two instrumental parts mix together.

Re: dal to tokyo
I thought the One Dove remix 2 went well with Play Pig.
