Re: coldcut - sound mirrors
the press reviews seem to be positive, but everyone who heard it says it's nothing more than mediocre.

Re: coldcut - sound mirrors
the review i read in the guardian http://www.guardian.co.uk/arts/criti...695348,00.html said' It steers a course between sonic innovation and commercial appeal, in the spirit, if not the style, of Leftfield's Leftism or Underworld's Dubnobasswithmyheadman' so i got excited, but from what u say perhaps its one to hear before purchasing

I think it's ok, but nothing special really. A few songs stood out, and some didn't really sound like Coldcut at all (but in a good way?) Only heard it once, and the only track i remember well is Boogieman, 'cause it was different. I'll give it a few more spins and get back on it.

i am listening to this right now and am on the 4th track and i gotta say that the 2nd and 3rd track are really great in my eyes. the 2nd has roots and just are both quite different than a lot of other stuff out. pretty fresh for me

I think it's completely awesome! I've been listening to it pretty heavily and all the tracks are awesome except for maybe one or two of them. A lot of variety, too. as soon as i heard the first track i was hooked.. we'll see how long it takes ot get old..
fav songs: walk a mile, mr nichols, everything is under control, boogieman.

I've listened more too it now, and i really like it. Haven't heard much about it in the media yet though. Is it officially out yet? Shouldn't this be more talked about? A new Coldcut album?
