Vanilla Sky is a Cameron Crowe movie...Crowe is a true audiophile who seems to have the utmost respect for groudbreaking music and songs that evoke true emotion.

A friend of mine bought the soundtrack and it was fantastic, but neither Rez or Doot Doot were on it. It also has a few Sigur Ros songs which were great, Solsbury Hill, my favorite Peter Gabriel song, Everything in it's Right Place by Radiohead, and Where Do I Begin off Dig Your Own Hole. Also Loops of Fury is in the movie, isn't it? But yeah, great soundtrack.

Can't say as much for the movie. I loved all the subtleties and stuff, but the ending is just one gigantic plot hole that I can't bring myself to even try to understand.

Re: underworld spotting II
I walked past a store where rows of televisions where playing a familiar song.. I stopped for a moment to think what it was. It was Underworld (mk1) - change the weather! Because the logo of the station was in the top of the screens I could trackback what was on.

Hunter. That is so much cooler than having Rez in an IBM commercial.

I watched "Vanilla Sky" 2 days ago and they played "Doot Doot" by Freur in it!

I remember to heared "pearls girl" in "The Saint" with Val Kilmer

Re: underworld spotting II
Pretty obvious but Oh in A Life Less Ordinary is great.
That whole soundtrack is pretty great IMO. Especially the re-recorded version of R.E.M.'s Leave.

Also a nice movie

Also in the beginning of "The Holy Man" from Eddy Murphy you can hear "pearls girl".
