Strawberry Hotel - new album out 25th Oct

Listened twice through and main thing I can say is I now understand the reviews. It's definitely their most experimental album, and that's saying a lot. It feels both maximal and minimal at the same time - some very interesting choices, especially vocally. I really like and appreciate the variety, but doesn't seem to go as deep as the classic long grooves do (except for Denver Luna and Gene Pool of course). Lewis in P is the biggest surprise/shock and hoping we get the remix soon. Bring on IIFU and the Japanese bonus track tomorrow...

Haven't had a chance to stream it yet. Just wondering if the versions of And The Colour Red, Denver Luna, and Denver Luna accapella are the exact same versions/mixes that were released last year?

Vinyl arrived today, artwork has the full guide to all 20 items, which is a nice inclusion. Also the image of Rick and Karl and their meal is really fun.

Same on the cd. About to scan the Japanese version. Will try to put the images on discogs.

Looks like the US domestic release of the vinyl and CD is also delayed until Nov. 15.

I need to go off my memory now and only had time to listen once:
I would describe it as starting disco like, sounding a bit experimental in the middle and overall it does fit the album but I can see why it?s a bonus track. Like 23 fits and does not fit Barbara, Barbara, this fits and does not fit.
I?m sorry my memory is already fuzzy and I had me Lewis meltdown in the mean time.
It felt a little rough around the edges too. But it?s hard to describe the sound as the listening station headphones were not new.

I will get a BR drive in here in the next couple of days, then I can better describe it / rip it :P
