Re: Ansum — A Hundred Days Off industry promo
First off, thanks ,Swift! Momove has long been a favorite track and i'm looking forward to hearing this extended mix. Soopher and various live versions are great, but you get the sense they were doodling,
Quote:
Yeah, like AHDO a lot, as it was the first new UW release after i discovered them in ~1999. Momove, TMO, Twist...a fine beginning, In fact, i like all the cuts, with the occasional exception of Trim. But i agree that including some punchier versions, a la "020202", DA3d RCM mix, and maybe "Tiny Clicks" and "Little Speaker" make for a very strong LP.

Re: Ansum — A Hundred Days Off industry promo
Well, it's certainly interesting. I never would have thought to mix the piano part into Mo Move. It's essentially Ansum, in reverse order though, tacked onto the end of Mo Move. To be honest, while it makes an epic length track, like Juanita/Kiteless/To Dream of Love and Banstyle/Sappy's Curry, I'm not sure that they stylistically go together very well. And it definitely would've needed a slashed trackname (Mo Move/Ansum), rather than just a single name. Ultimately, I like Mo Move the way it is on the album, and I like the way Ansum turned out by itself.
Now "Twist," wow, that extended ending kicks ass! I think they should've left it on there for the album. Twist in general is kind of a boring track, but that ending totally gives it a different character. I'd love to hear them jam out that ending in a live version too. What I've found on the rest of the promo: Identical to album version: Two Months Off Dinosaur Adventure 3D Luetin Differs minorly: Sola Sistim (just fades out a few seconds earlier than the album version) Trim (fades out about 5 seconds before the album version. Also, missing the final chime hit at 3:01) Ess Gee (album version has additional wind chime sounds starting at about 2:00, and the final bass note) Differs majorly: Ballet Lane (a lot of differences, subtly, starting at about 2:00) Twist (extended ending) Mo Move (Ansum mixed onto the end) |
