Re: Always Loved A Film
well I bought the .wav from Juno, but only for the original album version. Not really that interested in hearing the remixes and there was some talk of a cd single too so I might get that later on.

Re: Always Loved A Film
I'm still having trouble warming up to the latest incarnation of the track.
I've been in love with the Silver Boots version played at the beginning of the 05-19-06 Lemonworld Broadcast ever since the first moment I heard it. Karl: "Ooohh... you wouldn't believe how dark it is tonight..." Still, I recognize that to truly enjoy UW, I need to embrace change. |

Re: Always Loved A Film
my favorite version is still the one played on dirty radio many many years ago ("something to do with silver boots and always loved a film") - that song can be on loop for an entire day and I wouldn't get tired.

Re: Always Loved A Film
So, um....
I have to say that I've been literally brought to tears by this song. I'm not sure what it is about it - it's just so utterly beautiful, and it just hits so hard. I've been thru a lot of shit (pardon my french) in my life in the past year or so, and something about this song just sums it up, and it hits me. I can't get over the emotion in Karl's voice, the way that the melodies play off each other, the swells and builds are just amazing. This song makes me want to make dance music that makes people feel this way. It makes me want to find the better things in life. Thank you, Rick and Karl, from the bottom of my heart. |

Re: Always Loved A Film
That's how you know it's a good track. It won't necessarily hit everyone the same way, but in the right (or some might say wrong) setting and mood, it cuts into you like nothing else. And from that point, you'll always remember the track... and hopefully, for all the right reasons.
