To me it sounds blinding. Though "Louisiana" seems to have an Athlete vibe on the first spin...

Re: News on Bonus Cd / DVD / Box Set
yay!!! does that mean "Telematic Peel" is on the album?!?!??!

that was my favorite track of the radio broadcast ones....

and as far as the cost... $60 for x2 cd and 1 dvd is a bit expensive... I hope the packaging is going to be awesome...

but this whole "mega box set" thing (in the record industry - as a whole) sometimes leaves me with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth - like no way in hell I'm going to pay $70 just to get the instrumental versions of the Dangermouse/Sparklehorse/David Lynch "Dark Night of the Soul" or .... $130.52 for David Bowie's "Station to Station" - where they basically just replicate the ~30 minute album multiple times over a few discs (and include a VERY common bootleg with a few songs that weren't on the original boot)

Yes, Grace is the track formerly known as Telematic Peal. The only one we don't know if we've heard before is Hamburg Hotel.

Re: News on Bonus Cd / DVD / Box Set
Yeah, I guess this pretty much confirms that this album is going to be almost entirely stuff we've heard before, but in demo/crap form. I guess this confirms that:

Bird 1 is indeed Strumpet
Louisiana is Jumping The Cran
Grace is Telematic Peel

Only thing missing is "Bamboo", I guess.

I hope the disc 2 version of ALAF is Silver Boots...wasn't that the one played at Lemonworld??

Also really hoping the Diamond Jigsaw has that cool synth part

Daaamn...really excited about this now

You already have the original stereo, just just go for the new 2010 transfer and the bootleg gig 3CD version: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Station-Davi...229816&s=music easy! 14.99gbp

Re: News on Bonus Cd / DVD / Box Set
do you guys not realise that people are NOT buying music as they did before and that the only people keeping the industry going are gig goers and stupid fans who need to buy stuff (oh and the teens downloading lady gaga for their iphails / ipops)

there's no point in releasing a vanilla CD with nothing on it for £7.99 - it makes no money, what does make money is lavishly packaged 'all singing' boxes that fans can keep for ever, in the hope that they will come back for more and perhaps buy some tickets for their tours...

the industry is in a mess due to the internet and the only way to make money is to fleece the people who've been buying shit for years, and i'm not pointing the finger at UW here, more like the bigger stadium rock bands, the stones, the beatles, the bowies, and depeche modes of this world...

Re: News on Bonus Cd / DVD / Box Set
oh thanks Stimpee, I didn't realize you could just get the album + live show (of Station to Station) no way I'm going to fork over TONS of money just for replica tickets, postcards, and a five track EP of radio edits

and yea - regarding Depeche Mode, it was a crime that the only way you could get the disc with "Light" and the other new songs by buying the mega cumbersome and expensive boxset (luckily, I bought it 'slightly used' ... just like I did with portishead's last album)
