Re: ambient underworld
That album is great, as is much of Hawtin's Plastikman stuff imo. Turn up the volume to 11 and listen to the pulsing bass of 'Locomotion' via headphones. Pure, calm, rhythmic audio energy.

Re: ambient underworld
i listen to a lot of ambient music and id have to agree that oich oich etc are not ambient...way too uptempo..i'd class 'to heal' as ambient...its very similar in style to eno's 'an ending(ascent)..the trouble these days is that a lot of record companies put out stuff such as the best ambient album in the world and lump in a load of commercial stuff that is nothing like what id consider even the slightest bit ambient...its more downtempo chill out..im currently listening to a band called marconi union from manchester...very ambient with some similarities to underworld's quieter moments...hazy guitars weaving through soundscapes...underworlds collaboration on the sunshine and breaking and entering ost's are what id consider ambient also..
love the vid on facebook of them blowing up the ipod touch....hehe |

Re: ambient underworld
If anybody is able to upload a rip of those tracks from Everything Everything, I'd be much obliged! I'm having an absolutely shocking time trying to source a copy in Melbourne right now...
