Re: BTW, You Know That Area You Sometimes Fly Over...
They used to play Chicago a lot years ago, but it's hard to believe it's been 7 years. And Chicago is a lot bigger than Las Vegas, that's for sure. Hopefully they'll be able schedule in a show. Last time I had to go to New York.

Re: BTW, You Know That Area You Sometimes Fly Over...
as the weeks go by, it is less and less likely that something will be put together for those empty dates around the l.a. / san fran / vegas shows... something must have really shifted in the chicago promotion scene in the last 7 years that has lead to this drought.

Re: BTW, You Know That Area You Sometimes Fly Over...
What makes the whole thing even more frustrating is that the few dates they are playing in the States this time around are on the same days as Lollapalooza (AKA Chicago's biggest music event), for which some of us willing to fly to a show may have already bought tickets/accommodations before the UW dates were announced.
(Also, I have to say it: Las Vegas in August?? It gets up to 115F/45C+ there that time of year.)

My point was more that with all of the cities they could have chosen to play in the US in August, Las Vegas seems like an odd pick.
