complete list of early b-sides
i'm trying to come up with a list of all the b-sides (non album tracks) from the mother earth record up to, but not including, the moaner single. meaning everything before beaucoup fish.
i don't really want to include remixes by someone else, just the underworld stuff. what i've got so far is: mother earth (FM mix) [vinyl only] the hump (wild beasts) [vinyl only] the hump (groove without a doubt) dirty dirty guitar minneapolis minneapolis airwaves bigmouth eclipse [vinyl only] thing in a book second hand (re-edit of "thing in a book") spoon deep dark train (10:53) dark hard burts 215 miles most 'ospitable spikee dogman go woof organ big meat show can u feel me? river of bass (long version) mmm skyscraper i love you (jamscraper) mmm skyscraper i love you (telegraph version) rez why why why (long version) cowgirl (long version no intro) (8:55) cowgirl (irish pub in kyoto) cowgirl (winjer) born slippy original (8:57) — also another that is 8:31 born slippy.nuxx (11:37) born slippy.telematic born slippy (deep pan), or just "deep pan" pearl's girl (carp dreams... koi) pearl's girl (tin there) pearl's girl (14996) rowla (8 minute version) [vinyl only] mosaic deep arch cherry pie oich oich puppies oh (from "a life less ordinary" OST) and the edits that are out there: dark and long 7" ("hall's mix") dirty epic short juanita short born slippy short pearl's girl short why why why short versions — 5:16 and 8:20 minneapolis short (4:47) tin there short versions — 5:00 and 6:07 dark train edits — 9:52 and 10:24 born slippy edits — 3:46, 4:24, 7:34 and 9:44 Last edited by bryantm3; 07-07-2013 at 04:35 AM. likewise, "Thing in a Book" is one that really made me dig UW for life. IMO its length is the only reason why it's not on a "bigger" release or more well known. |

Re: complete list of early b-sides
I like that idea. I have a similar playlist that's all the good non-album, non-single stuff, but that includes live versions of tracks that were either not released or sounded better than the versions that were (for example, the Tokyo 2005 versions of "JAL to Tokyo" or "Back in the Fears", plus stuff like "Cape Ffuno" and "Five Points")
that would be an interesting comp - the idea of compiling all the remixes/edits for different tracks is neat, but to be honest most of the non-UW remixes tend to be duds. I liked the pre-Born Slippy period where they just remixed everything themselves! |

Re: complete list of early b-sides
i corrected the list— i put minneapolis and minneapolis airwaves as one song because i sort of consider them two parts of one song, sort of like the two halves of skyscraper, but i guess *technically* that isn't correct, so i put them seperately.
i think all of the tracks are available on vinyl, maybe save a couple, but there are a few that aren't on CD. i'll list those up there. |

Re: complete list of early b-sides
Convenient list. I'd be very grateful if you were to add whether the tracks are cd-only/vinyl-only/both. Might come in handy for guys like me who are still ardously restraining themselves and haven't yet fallen into the pit of collecting vinyl...
