This is such a strange interview. It's like the interviewer wasn't actually present during the conversation. It's like they just dictated their answers and someone transcribed them.

For Example:
"Torture the Artist: Have you been approached for licensing tracks from ‘Drift’ for other films/ series at this moment?

Karl: Yes!

Torture the Artist: What’s an artist you’d love to remix one of your tracks from the ‘Drift’-format?

Karl: For sure it would be Pablo Piccasso."

eariler, i wasnt exactly excited by a proper album of tracks i've already purchased twice... but something has just clicked and now im excited for it. i dont even know how to explain it.

I guess this will stay a pipe dream, but I do have a tiny bit of hope there will be a track with samples of Juanita.
I am not even sure when she was last sampled, but it would make for a nice roundtrip in terms of musical / sound history

Well, she hasn't worked at Tomato for over 15 years, so probably not.

Drift has been amazing

They've got a lot to work with, yeah? Even if the new LP is revisions of Drift tracks, it'll be amazing.

Best case scenario, entirely new tracks. 2nd best: a mix of great Drift songs and new material. 3rd: best of Drift, remastered...some difference from the already released tracks. 4th: compilation of Drift tracks s formerly released.

I noticed in the newsletter this week that the box set will be released a month after the album release:

DRIFT SONGS - a snapshot of the whole DRIFT project - will be released digitally and on CD & coloured vinyl on October 25th; a box set collecting music and visuals from the whole year follows a month later.
