Re: Denver Luna single release - October 18, 2023
I specified lyrics reminiscent of Underworld vocalist Karl Hyde. My first go was in the style of Underworld, which it took as "electronic dance music" and wrote a song about going clubbing.

also... how good is this song? i'm totally in love with it. everyone i play it for totally gets the epicness. especially the almost-acapella part coming midway thru.

Re: Denver Luna single release - October 18, 2023
that was my first impression but thats what I said when Listen to Their No and Custard Speedtalk came out too. this tune has much more of a classic UW feel though, gives me the same feelings I got discovering their stuff as a teenager

There's a new version of the single released yesterday. It includes an (radio) edit, but not the instrumental.

Re: Denver Luna single release - October 18, 2023
Fun tidbit: Denver Luna made it in the top 50 songs of another forum I (also barely) post on. The list is rolled out 10 at a time via podcast style audio file, and the people who did not vote for it or even heard of it until now are all kinds of pretzeled up with this vocalist who will not shut up. I think it came in at #18
It's fun seeing how Underworld's "place" in the bigger dialogue changes over time. A lot more people are a stronger mix of impressed and baffled. |
