Re: Good Day Today
First impression:
Second impression: The gunshots seem out of place upon the first few listens, but when you aren't 100% focused on the track, trying to tell if every synth pad, ever percussion hit, every trill were made by the boys, they fit quite well -- not as well as MIA's but still. Re: Good Day Today
If only! Reminds me of playing Atari as a child. Weelll, as to whether it's Rick/Karl/Juanita/Billy etc. singing, it doesn't really matter to me if the track is produced by Underworld, and they're responsible for the sound choices that made it what it is. I really am feeling "Good Day Today" a lot. And not just because it's Underworld. I mean, i've had years to try to appreciate "Trim" but no number of repeat plays will make me like it. This track just takes a bit of time, just a bit, and it's a revelation.

Re: Good Day Today
Same.
I agree with what Holden said too. There are some simple, nice UW tracks that I just can't get into, but this one has already hit me -- and not because its UW. |
