Re: Denver show now at the Fillmore Auditorium
In '03 the boys were switched from Bill Graham Civic Aud. to the Fillmore in San Francisco...not quite the same thing I know, but perhaps it has to do with ticket sales...Is there a major difference in size between RR and Fillmore Denver? I would bet UW have no say in this.

Re: Denver show now at the Fillmore Auditorium
Red Rocks holds about 9000 people. The Fillmore apparently houses about a third of that. This is bullshit. They should've hired Daft Punk's promoters. Red Rocks was PACKED for Daft Punk in July.
Everyone has the right to be pissed off at this. I'm pissed off at this, but not so much since Denver is the closest place to me to see them, and I'm more interested in seeing Underworld than Red Rocks. Still I wouldn't go so far to tell Underworld, the band, to go "Fuck off" for this because I doubt Rick and Karl had much of a say about this. I just wish an explanation was given for the venue change.

Re: Denver show now at the Fillmore Auditorium
Could be worse, I suppose. We had a total ticket fiasco in Montana over Elton John tickets.

It's plain bad promoting, people. Nothing else. No-one else is to blame but the ones in charge of this production. First they screw up by not winding people up enough to sell enough tix for Red Rocks...that means they're not good at their job. But to wait until NOW to change venues means they are dishonest theives, both for the promises they must have made to UW & for the low low 'bait and switch' thrown at us right now. |

They also needed to book a better opening act than Oakenfold. Jesus, I do not look forward to tolerating his set.

Re: Denver show now at the Fillmore Auditorium
[COLOR=Indigo]I can totally understand you guys are very upset about the change of venue, it must be a real bummer for Underworld too! I think they were looking forward to playing at the Red Rock themselves very much.
On the boards people have been asking for a US tour for years, and now the second night at the Warfield was rather empty??? and not enough tickets sold for Red Rocks... I was going to go to a gig at Gelsenkirchen, Germany a few years ago and that gig was cancelled, so be glad at least you'll have your gig, and please stop using this forum for such negative actions as calls for emailbombardments.
