it gets a lot of people excited when we hear new things like this.. granted, there is a lot of unreleased stuff out there (including promo mixes, extra tracks) etc.. and underworld puts them in their radio shows, or slips them onto the website, so you never know when things turn up.. i found a radio edit for 'leutin' earlier this year http://www.darktrain.org/dirty/forum...&postcount=686 that i didn't know existed.. and also a canadian promo cd for 'king of snake' with the previous vinyl only dave angel rework mix..... http://www.darktrain.org/dirty/forum...ead.php?t=9225 so, keep checking this board, and who knows what else will turn up... later -1 |

Seriously. The surfacing of these tracks is like Christmas came early. I used to have dreams about suddenly discovering albums or singles by another band that i love love love (doesn't matter who, but i'm devoted to a level shared by many of the dirties re: UW. Obsessive, that is). This is like one of those dreams, only real! ![]() Regarding the Mk1 Demo... i'd only listened a few times, but also tried to spot anything that made it onto Dubno or MkII/L.I. tracks.The staccato guitar is a dead giveaway. If memory serves, the demo is from 90 or 91? But there were a few other bits that i'd like to believe were carried over. Need to give it another spin!

http://www.bigscreensatellite.co.uk/demos.htm Got it in mp3 off the horde FTP like 3 years ago. Acording to BigScreenSatellite, it's circa July 1990

Re: [new tracks] -> _unreleased_dubnobasswithmyheadman_era_
yea - that old MK1 demo is supposedly from 1990...
but now I wonder if it's really from a bit later at least for me - the time period of UW's history, that I'd say I know the least about is that area around 1990-1993 like WHY the three different band names? I always assumed it was just b/c "Steppin' Razor" was really just Rick & Darren, and "Lemon Interrupt" was a name chosen as a possible different "real" band name (like, maybe they were going to completely abandon "Underworld" - to further differentiate themselves from the 'original' "Underworld") ...but maybe not? especially when you consider how much carry-over in elements/sounds/whatever you want to call them between the late MK1 demo's, the Steppin Razor remixes, and the early MK2 tracks...? |

Re: [new tracks] -> _unreleased_dubnobasswithmyheadman_era_
obviously 'big meat show' wouldn't have
survived being sandwiched between the two other skyscraper mixes... so that would have been cut.. organ might have survived the cut, before 'river of bass(extended)'... but 'can u feel me' sounds out of place, and to early a sound to come before 'goodbye mother earth'-> m.e. later -1 |

Re: [new tracks] -> _unreleased_dubnobasswithmyheadman_era_
will have to wait for comparisons...
Jamscraper 8:54 -> same as cd-single -> actually its shorter. i had listed as 9:12... Dark And Long 7:28 -> about 8 sec shorter... hmmmmmmmmm................ also wonder what happened to 'surfboy' and 'cowgirl', 'tongue' and 'spoonman'.. perhaps they were not ready at this point... and what a difference that would have made!! later -1 |
