I was in the same boat re:webspace so I went ahead and paid for hosting. Canaca.com is pretty good, and really cheap.

Re: Post your mixes, music, etc here...
ok - here's a mix I did after well... it was a long night
it's also pretty much 'part two' of a previous mix I had made... but I don't think I can share that mix quite yet - I had submitted it to a contest, and one of the rules was that it couldn't be publically available

I consider this 'part two' b/c the first one was pretty heavily based around movie samples I had recorded. This one has them too... but not quite as much as well - it was the end of a 'long night'

tracklisting
Something I Can Never Have (soundtrack version) - Nine Inch Nails
Just Shoot Him - Cliff Martinez + Movie Dialogue "Jacob's Ladder"
2thousand3 [feat. Tricky] - Agoria
Movie Dialogue 'Memento"
Less Stress - Evil Nine
First Day (Extended Mix) - Timo Maas
Follow The White Rabbit - Habersham
Starwater (Its Alright) - Infusion
Hello? Is This Thing On? (Thomas N' Eric's Rub and Tug Throwdown) - !!!
Movie Dialogue 'Memento"
Likgiltligheten (inte likgiltig mix by plosive) - Partikel
Bring Yourself (Off Again) - Meat Katie
Impedance (Meat Katie + Dylan Rhymes Remix) - Serge Santiago
Electromagnetic (Evil Nine Broadway Dub) - Freeform Five
Bright Lights Fading (Alex Smoke Mix) - Slam
Mana (Elite Force Remix) - Shiloh
Let it All Out - Forme
My Little Dancing Girl - Meat Katie
Raining Again (Evil Nine Remix) - Moby
Chew's Eye Lab - Vangelis

hopefully - this link will work, yousendit won't work for me anymore!

Re: Post your mixes, music, etc here...
Hey all,

just a quick question...what's everyone using as a source for their mixes here? Strictly vinyl, or any CD or mp3s in there?

Reason i ask is, some people are purists about mixes, like...it's gotta be with turntables or if on a laptop, it's gotta be on the fly, or whatever. I'm no DJ, more the producer, so i like to make long edits/mixes on the PC. Is this cheating? Certainly, lots of respect to all those who can do it on the fly...my beatmapping needs more work!

Just wanted to know if that was okay before i posted a "nonlive" mix!

Cheers,
Holden

Re: Post your mixes, music, etc here...
All of my mixes are first put together with a pair of dj CD decks just to find the right order for the tracks, but then I mix the tracks together with effects in Acid Pro 5. I would do live beatmatched mixes because it's a lot more fun, but I don't really have the approprate equipment.

Of course it's ok! It's all music maaaaaaaaaaaan. I have nothing but respect for anybody who can concentrate long enough to do an off-line mix. I keep trying to make one but just can't summon up the patience to sit there and do it. And if the final product sounds good, that's all that matters, isnt it?
