Just a thought. Maybe you can leave it as mp3, since that's so common, but in your Legend, call it:

mp3 = online digital audio release (MP3, AAC, etc.)

Since that's what you're really trying to distinguish it as, right? An online digital release, as opposed to a physical medium, like compact disc, vinyl, etc.

Re: [info] -> _underworld_discography_updates_
ok, i agree with all the talk about the
digital releases, yes it should reflect
all formats..

some of the mixes you mentioned
are available on promo cds..

i don't have most of this material,
so thats why there's so much
uncertainty and wrong with it..

well, good that's what we're trying
to fix..

does anybody have the technical
skills for the wiki?

i'm about 2 years behind in internet
years with technology, which means
i'm about 10 years behind in real time
stuff..

no wonder i don't want another
programming job!

Lots of issues with the JAL to Tokyo listings:
jal to tokyo (full) 7:53 mp3
I think you have this one confused with the Paul Woolford Mixes. According to Matt in this thread:
Jal to Tokyo - Woolford Vox - 7'52
Jal to Tokyo - Woolford Dub - 7'52

So, in your listings, that would translate to:

jal to tokyo (paul woolford dub) 7:52 cd
jal to tokyo (paul woolford mix) 7:52 cd, mp3 (cause this one is on the iTunes EP too)

--------

This one:
jal to tokyo 5:37 cd, mp3

should be
jal to tokyo 5:37 mp3 (for RiverRun)
jal to tokyo (full) 5:48 mp3 (for the iTunes EP)

Or, is there a CD this was released on too?
check out the way i listed, according to matt,
there was an unrelease 9min promo mix on cd..

i changed the (full) versions format from mp3-> dig
and left the riverun files as mp3..

ALTHOUGH technically, they were all 1 file for each
release, so we're splitting them up..

Re: [info] -> _underworld_discography_updates_
OK. By my reckoning, it should be like this (numbered for convenience):

1. jal to tokyo 5:37 mp3
2. jal to tokyo (full) 5.48 dig
3. jal to tokyo (live) 9:03 cd
4. jal to tokyo (paul woolford dub) 7:52 cd
5. jal to tokyo (paul woolford mix) 7:53 cd, dig
6. jal to tokyo (paul woolford promo mix) 9:05 cd

Sources
1. Riverrun
2. iTunes EP
3. Live in Tokyo
4. Promo CD-R
5. Promo CD-R and iTunes EP
6. unreleased promo CD-R, according to Matt.

Where did you get the CD release for "jal to tokyo 5:37"? I haven't seen that mentioned or listed anywhere.

Re: [info] -> _underworld_discography_updates_
It looks like there's another edit of Second Hand out there. I saw it listed on Matt's site, but now I've found which album it's on. It's on Euphoria: Chilled.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...g=UTF8&s=music
http://www.discogs.com/release/38233

It says it's 7:47. However, not having heard it, I can't say whether it's an actual unique edit, or if it's just a DJ mix of the 9:01 track. If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably a DJ mix. Does anyone know if the Euphoria series are mix albums?

Oh, and I went back and listened to Second Hand 9:01 again. It's a genuinely different edit, not just a fade-out of Thing in a Book. In fact, it's a lot more down-tempo and ambient than Thing in a Book.

Re: [info] -> _underworld_discography_updates_
Here's some more info on that mixmag edit:

http://www.kompaktkiste.de/mixmag2.htm#mixmag9807
http://www.discogs.com/release/76270

My guess is that it's just a fade-out of the original track. If you fade out your volume at the 7:34 mark while playing it back, it sounds pretty natural. I generally don't sweat the fade-out edits, but some people like to be complete.
