Re: Underworld on "Songs for Tibet"
Anyhoo...

Am I right in thinking that it is someone in UW's management (Mike G maybe?) who has a strong connection with Buddhism, cos I asked the question during one of the radio shows and I seem to remember Karl saying it was someone in The Management. There used to be a link to a Tibetan Buddhist website on the old UW page.

Re: Underworld on "Songs for Tibet"
Not sure about anyone's specific connection to Buddhism, but the band has supported and promoted the Meridian Trust for a long time. There's a link to it on their website:

http://www.underworldlive.com/links

As mentioned in the press releases for this Songs for Tibet album, "The Art of Peace Foundation also works with their UK partner, Meridian Trust, to preserve Tibetan cultural traditions," so perhaps that's how Underworld came to be involved in this project.

Makes sense, Rick hinted it would be coming out in the last broadcast

yeah, there are a few bands on there that summon the thought: "wow, they're still alive?"
