Re: The Chemical Brothers: Surrender
Exit Planet Dust 1994 ***** (our of 5)
Dig Your Own Hole 1997 ***** Surrender 1999 **** Come With Us 2001 **** Push the Button 2005 ** 1/2 We Are the Night 2007 ** 1/2 We'll get a new one probably next year. "Surrender" memories: Loved the "hey Boy Hey Girl" single; was lukewarm on "Let Forever Be", as it seemed a watered down "Setting Sun". I really wanted another big beat blaster at the time, so i wasn't super keen on the record at first. But it's a grower and definitely the point in which they stopped being relatively lo-fi sample-based and started being polished producers. Now, "Come With Us", that was a great one! THe last two have been pretty mixed for me, too many guests and hip-hop tracks.

Re: The Chemical Brothers: Surrender
Remember when I first heard 'Hey Boy, Hey Girl'...Was at a FatBoy Slim show, and he had a promo of it. He scribbled a note for the video camera that it was the new Chems single. Place went off even before he wrote the note.
