Spam!

i dont mind deleting threads, it's having to go into forum manager and banning these people that takes the extra 90 seconds. if i could just have a button that says "BAN USER FROM THE INTERNET" alongside 'delete thread' i could do this all day.

i have stopped banning the user because after a while you notice that they never seem to use the same account. at the current rate i am deleting about 6 to 8 messages in this forum a day, and i'm guessing it is similar for others

we need a way to not only ban the user but delete him/her from this interface so it reduces the number of users in the database

i thought i could get away with it, but ive had people post a different spam thread with the same name, so i'm back to that.

Yan tried for a while with The Bible Isn't Long Enough - don't know if you remember? Didn't make any difference.

The only way around this would be to go back to all new user requiring an admin to agree them. And the admins don't necessarily have time for all that. But janitors don't mind taking the mop round. Between us all, with the different time zones, I doubt if anything nasty is posted for more than a coupla hours

I moved one into treatment - the anime one. Didn't seem offensive. Just a bit obsessive, but a subject that people here could relate to. Unlike viagra. Well.... I haven't spoken to Rog about that. Maybe he wants us to keep the viagra threads.
