Re: New Underworld album - Barking (Sept. 13, Sept 2 Japan)
So on the 2 CD + DVD set..what's on the second CD?
Anyone know? http://www.hmv.co.jp/en/product/detail/3857045 I've got loads of stuff from HMV Japan and their delivery to here in Australia is amazingly fast. |

that certainly shouldn't be an issue, surely?

sure would be nice to have some official confirmation that the worldwide release will be a 2CD affair plus a DVD?

A rough translation of the album provides a clue of the album tracks sounds.

Re: New Underworld album - Barking (Sept. 13, Sept 2 Japan)
The "rough translation" in question:
http://translate.google.com/translat...n&hl=&ie=UTF-8 So, to summarize: 1. Bird 1: Hard to tell from this whether or not it's Strumpet, but it's definitely hypnotic. 2. ALAF: The description fits the footage of the new version we've seen on YouTube, but it's let on here that the strings remain! Yes! 3. Scribble: It's compared here to NUXX, which I think is a good comparison in that both of them overshadowed phenomenal Underworld tracks with driving beats. 4. Hamburg Hotel: It's mostly instrumental (Karl's vocals are heavily processed where they do appear) and resembles an OWB track. It may be one of those moments of ambience some of you anticipated. 5. Grace: Surprisingly, considering the title, this is apparently a dark track! Odd. 6. Between Stars: Described here as the third real "dancefloor killer" on the album. Perhaps this means it'll be the third single? 7. Diamond Jigsaw: Kind of hard to make out, but it seems to say that Paul van Dyk didn't do much to the song and left UW to do most of it themselves. 8. Moon In Water: It's not Drum & Bass! I'm shocked! But also somewhat relieved. Thinking about it now I can't really see it as a Drum & Bass track. But it's still going to be very danceable: it says here that it's disco-influenced. 9. Louisiana: It won't be a "Moaner"-esque nightmare. It's a piano-led ballad, and (this is the interesting part!) apparently resembles "Minneapolis". Speculate!
