Re: Scribble - New Single
Sounds great, but very different from the You Do Scribble of the past couple of years. More pop influenced and structured for radio I'd say. Very promising sounds for the new album, and a wonderful freebie. I'm missing the traditional YDS breakdown that is just awfully neutered here (comes in around 1:34) and is just left for dead and replaced with some 80's synth stabs. You can barely here it now and it's been warbled and changed to sound like it's slowing down or somthing.

Re: Scribble - New Single
Despite all the seeming initial opinion being off towards it because we've heard it before.

overall this is kinda bad but not as maddeningly stupid and depressing if they had just straight released YDS how it was
i'll hang in there i guess
"bad, but it could have been worse" is actually kind of a compliment coming from you

Re: TONIGHT...
On further listens, it's the generic dnb sound that prevents me from really loving this. In many uw tracks, they're able to take even your standard 4/4 kick drum and make it feel "special". IMHO this does not feel special.

Re: TONIGHT...
i love them, i wouldnt get all discombobulated over everything they've been doing in the last few years if i didnt. though just to bring us back to reality this'll probably be the first UW album i expect with a neutrality that'll make it compete with everything else coming out. if it's not interesting, i'm not going to try my best to listen to it in a million different ways to start "appreciating" it. it'll either stick or not.

Re: TONIGHT...
hey guys, if this is generic dnb, please point me to or list 3-5 examples that sound similar enough to warrant calling this track 'generic'.

i'll wait...

Re: TONIGHT...
Well, I liked it. I'd love to hear the full version. I'm glad they're pushing forward and not just regurgitating the versions of tracks we've been hearing for years.

Personally, I find the studio version of You Do Scribble to be a bit dry, but I'll bet they'll probably put it on the single for those of you that want it.

Collaborations are not necessarily a bad thing, and I'm sure the boys will make judicious use of them, and not fill an album full of collabs (yuck). But if they can turn out well AND provide more exposure for the band, then I'm all for it.

That's "Pendulum", and they do change up their generic style sometimes too....

Like stated earlier, if UW just released a fancy studio version of YDS everyone would be grumbling, if they release something new and different everyone grumbles cause it's not what they originally expected/ hoped for. There's nothing wrong with this new track, it's going to grow on most of yall just fine (especially the long version I'd imagine). Also, there's nothing wrong with Drum and Bass music!!! Now you pesky fuckers complain about the beats and so UW will read the responses here and decide that they don't want to do any more DnB (if they even do actually read what you "morans" think).
