Riddley Walker
Anyone read this masterpiece by Russell Hoban? If I were to choose one book from the past half century it'd certainly be this one. Mysterious, disturbing, mythic etc.

Re: Riddley Walker
no but you've got me looking for it now. I read kleinzeit and it was like nothing I've ever read before. So I'll bet you've got a point with this one.

Hoban certainly a unique voice all right. I've read Kleinzeit aslo but haven't really read his work since Pilgermann, another excellent read based back around the Crusades. Riddley Walker though certainly his mind-blowing masterpiece.
