May i dedicate a mix to Fluke
Not sure how many other Fluke fans there are here, but despite how you feel about 'em, comparisons are often made between Fluke and Underworld. i dig 'em because Fluke evolved with the 90's techno styles, from synth-house to trip-hop to big-beat and beyond, and they did it all well.

Their latest reinvention is a band called "2 Bit Pie", basicaly Fluke with some additional producers and another singer. Check them out..their LP arrives on 4 sept.

if you're a Fluke fan or in need of an intro, here's a quick-n-dirty 'tribute' mix:

Fluke
"May i dedicate a little song to you"
tribute mix by AViD
45 MB 48:57
1. FLUKE: "Groovy Feeling" (Thick & Creamy mix)
2. FLUKE: "Bullet"
3. FLUKE: "My Spine"
4. FLUKE: "Tosh" (Gosh mix)
5. 2 BIT PIE: "Nobody Never" (promo)
6. FLUKE: "Electric Guitar" (humbucker)
7. FLUKE: "Amp"
8. FLUKE: "Hang Tough"
9. 2 BIT PIE: "Soto Mundo" (promo)
10. FLUKE: "Twitch" (extended mix)
11. FLUKE: "Absurd"
12. 2 BIT PIE: "Here I Come" (promo)

i can't say it all works, but i was looking for common elements and a progression of styles. The biggest "oops" is the Soto Mundo - Twitch transition...folks have been saying these tracks are similar, and yeah, they are, except that Soto Mundo is about 140 BPM and Twitch is 116 ish. So Twitch had to be sped up considerably to make it into the range of the rest of the tracks, about 130 BPM. Weirder still, Twitch's beatrate fluctuates, so i couldn't use too much of it without running into beatmatch issues.

Anyway, hope you get what you can outta this...i enjoyed just relistening to Fluke records!
Cheers,
Holden

Everyone should have their "Hang 'em High" remix of Juno Reactor's Pistolero.

Yeah, that's cos negative1 retrieved an old thread...that link expired almost 2 years ago, i'm sure! I've thought of doing another Fluke mix with more 2BitPie and Syntax innit, but haven't found the time

Negative1, looks like a great mix...some nice choices of alternate mixes/remixes, too. DLing now.

it's at times like this i had more stuff by the grid,
i hardly have anything..

things i do have..

tons of :
==================
thinking of making a megamix by aphex twins 26 mixes for cash! (too weird)

bt (mixes/albums)
lots of recent bjork mixes
blondie (remixed, not the originals)
cabaret voltaire (mixes)
dave clarke (mixes) <- looking into now
more deep dish mixes than you could imagine (ok, a whole ton of them)
depeche mode (mixes from the last album)
erasure (just catching up with all their mixes over the last decade)
frankie goes to hollywood (remixed, not the originals)
human league (tons of stuff)
intermix (industrial)
jan johnston (mixes-trance)
new order (tons of stuff-thinking of doing recent 12x12 megamix)
nitzer ebb(remixed, not the originals)
sasha (new stuff, more ambient)
system f/ferry corsten/etc (hard trance)
stone roses (remixed, not the originals)
