2003 Peel Session
Back on the iplayer for one week, Karl on Annie Nightingale talking about Freur, Dubno and the Peel Session. For someone like me who hadn't heard it for a while, sounds excellent, especially with the Bungalow With Stairs moments, improvs and splices of material.

Re: 2003 Peel Session
So is the promo CD we were just supplied with a few weeks ago. Recorded by R&K themselves off their desk, quality is unreal, with the exception of not having a direct line on John Peels mic, but you can hear him just fine in the background off what I assume is Karl's mic.

Re: 2003 Peel Session
if you read the post immediately before yours, you'll see that we have a much higher quality recording of the show than what the BBC broadcasts. On our tracker is a recording Rick and Karl made from their desk of the performance. Quality is on par with the albums of the time, if not maybe even a tad better. The only catch was that they didn't get John Peel's mic in the recording, but you could hear him fine in the background. Just yesterday, however, Jamiel mixed in the relevant part's of John's speeches from the BBC broadcasts to give us a complete and as close to perfect version of this show as we're going to get.
