Dukes of Hazzard - Yeeehaw!
Saw this yesterday and had a blast!
Don't expect any Oscars of course, but if you liked Super Troopers and Club Dread (which I totally dig...Broken Lizard rules!!!) you'll bust a gut more than once. Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville are one of the best on screen duos in quite a while.....they completely play off each other as if they've been friends for years. Mrs. Simpson is fine as a mother fucker and actually not too bad an actress, I feared the worst after that "boots" music video and she's not lead actress material...but in the film she is real good. The film really picks up the pace in the second half and delivers on the action and the gut busting. Go to merely have fun and YOU WILL!

I liked this movie too, but it seemed like I was the only one of my friends who did. I got pretty much what I expected out of it... lots of rad car chases and goofy rednecks.

Anything.
And I mean ANYTHING - that makes rednecks, line dancing, moonshine and pickup trucks with gunracks, appear sexy and funny. Can't be a good thing.

I know I won't be seeing this one, even with sevre intoxication involved, to the point where you memory becomes foggy and you wake up the next morning trying to recollect what kind of sickness could explain these dried ketchup stains smeared all over the walls. Just very very wrong on so many levels. Last edited by grady; 08-11-2005 at 10:41 PM. |
