Re: clerks 2
Personally, I think Clerks is approximately the most overrated movie of all time.

I only really say that because I have a friend who thinks it is the best movie ever made.

And that poster! His ass is hanging out! That's hilarious! Urg.

Re: clerks 2
i am more than a little worried about this movie.

he made his mark by using "dick and fart jokes" with 'clerks' through 'jay & silent bob strike back', then he tried doing the mainstream movie thing with 'jersey girl' (which i'm pretty sure didn't do nearly as well as he had hoped), and he then wrote a script for the new superman movie which didn't pan out.

now he's going back to the well to see if there's still any life left in those characters from 'clerks'. (even after he said that he was done with the whole 'jay and silent bob' stuff)

i hope that it works out for him and that the movie is all kinds of funny, but i see this being a dangerous time for his career.

(for the record, i haven't been keeping up on stuff that's been happening over on the view askew message boards the past few years, so i might be way off on these comments)

Re: clerks 2
oh no another sequel... not so keen on this one...

Hey it's in color!! should've kept the black and white, or in its original 16mm. That's what made Clerks so cool, even if it was just to save money.

Re: clerks 2
If we can take any solace in this sequel, it's in the fact that Ben Affleck can still find work.
Other than that, I'm not too thrilled about it. Either Kevin Smith is losing his highly over-rated creativity, or he's looking at just making a quick buck.

Re: clerks 2
fuller and funnier trailer here

http://www.clerks2.com/trailer/

i for one AM looking forward to this, what KSmith does best is dialogue between 'normal' people: Randal and Dante are the DB's and this will only highlight how good the Clerks franchise is...

if you liked Clerks I - how can this fail...??

i mean, dante and randall dont... can't fail.
and the beginning bit of jay and bob alone was the fnniest i've seen in years.

Re: clerks 2
Despite the old faces of Dante and Randal, I don't think that is enough to salvage this sinking ship. I'm feeling tinges and pangs of Dogma that I had upon walking out of the auditorium.

woooah hold it right there...Dogma was excellent

i think Clerks II will be as expected of old Kev, its not like he's going for oscar nominations with this, he's just getting some old favourite characters back for a laugh-a-thon

i trust this will be funny and typical of this ensemble cast...i'm holding out that it WILL be good
