qt's scene was the drive in the car with benicio and clive owen while benicio is talking despite having a bit of a gun sticking out his head. the classic dialogue and banter makes it so obvious once you realise.

Re: "Sin City - Recut and Extended Edition" details!
The DVD that was already released was supposedly "to fight piracy" and Rodriguez was not happy about it. He asked that they not put any special features on it. (They slipped a very brief featurette on there anyway.) It was supposed to be VERY CLEAR that this was not the "real" DVD, which has long been planned as the definitive version of the film.

As I remember it, the theatrical cut itself was a compromise of sorts... the movie was filmed with the intent of putting the whole thing on DVD but only parts of it on the big screen. They literally filmed EVERYTHING from the comics, and began by cutting the three main stories seperately... exact duplicates of the source material. Then it was chopped together into something that they could actually release in theaters, with the intent of simply getting the film out there in some form, so people would get the gist, before the whole thing came out on DVD.

The real DVD will have both versions. Those of you who bought the single-disc release... sorry, the joke's on you. You have been suckered in a bad way. I'd advise selling it before other people realize how worthless it is. Seriously.

yeah Rodriguez is pretty firm in his current belief that the "real" versions of his movies are not the theatrical cuts but whatever he ends up putting out on DVD, since a theatrical run might last like maybe 2 months but the DVD version is what will stick around forever.

Of course, readers to this site during Sin City's theatrical run shoulda known the recent release was not the last because it wont have my awesome commentary track on it*

*by "my" i mean a commentary track recorded at the Austin premiere of the crowd response which i was a part of... along with 1199 other fans.

Re: "Sin City - Recut and Extended Edition" details!
I'd be pissed if I had bought the 1st version (which I haven't), but to be honest, how many people actually watch all the bonus stuff? I find after sitting down and watching a 2hour film, I honestly couldn't be bothered watching it again with an extra 17 minutes narrated by the dudes that directed it...I think the only extra's I've ever found worth paying more for was "follow the white rabbit" in the matrix...it essentially plays the movie from the beginning but provides the option to cut to a "how did they make that part" scene; and then it resumes the movie afterwards... now that I think about it, I'm not sure if that was just included in the normal version anyway. :S

Favourite DVD extras anyone??
