it seems to be a long running theme in their work.

so it's not really that surprising its on the cover.

Apologies if this is repeated info but it just came out on The Necks’ mailing list:

As you know, last year we went into London's AIR Studios to record for a couple of days with our pals from legendary UK techno unit Underworld.

A couple of the tracks have already been released on YouTube, but now we're delighted to say that three of the tracks that we recorded form an entire disc of their new massive (7-CD + Blu-Ray + 80-page booklet) package entitled DRIFT Series 1.

Looks like the release date has been pushed back again. Just received an email from Amazon UK with the following:

Unfortunately, the release date for the item(s) listed below was changed by the supplier, and we need to provide you with a new estimated delivery date based on the new release date:

Underworld "DRIFT Series 1"
Estimated arrival date: December 02 2019 - December 06 2019

The page for the Box Set now shows a November 22 release date.

While we're all waiting until the new release date...

One thing I'm surprised I haven't seen much chatter on this thread about is how many new tracks we are getting with the box set.

I think those that have been following along and got/bought the EP's as they came out are probably used to them now and these new tracks will probably continue to feel like extras (though I hope they fit each disc theme and flow well together).

We're no longer getting the condensed "new album" version of Drift with the proposed reworkings turning into a sampler now, but with 11 unheard new tracks there's a good chance of a brand new album waiting in there.

I'm planning to make my own "Drift Songs" album out of these new tracks, even if a couple don't make it (like possibly the third Necks collaboration). Anyone else excited by this prospect of a whole new album worth of material hidden in the box set (especially with the hyped Two Arrows)?
