Re: 2017-10-20 Underworld Rijksmuseum Amsterdam
From the keynote address. A Karl summary of everything from EE through Barbara Barbara
https://www.facebook.com/narrationsm...5454325154101/ It'd be nice if a video of the whole thing would surface. |

The jumpy chronology of his story makes things odd. He talks about the dark times while talking about the VW project (2013) and then goes on to mention Danny boyle calling about two projects in what would have been 2010 as the start of better times. Very illuminating, regardless. Last edited by jetpig; 10-22-2017 at 04:17 PM. |

Sadly it seems that this file is no longer up on facebook. Did anyone pull it for themselves, by chance?

Re: 2017-10-20 Underworld Rijksmuseum Amsterdam
thanks to all the people commenting on this, and for the files, streams, and videos.
i didn't want to be pedantic about it.... but thanks for moving it to here. =========== i'm still absorbing a lot of the tracks, and listening and watching it again. i'll admit, i'm glad that there is more improv, and some new tracks in there. is this going to be a return to an earlier style? (probably not, but who knows). it's good to see that at least they can experiment more, given the current circumstances. i know a lot of bands are in this situation (new order did some experimental gigs, with some return to older songs too). i don't think festivals or regular concerts are too conducive too this, either due to the 'casual fans', the management, or logistical issues with the bands. but it is what it is. thanks underworld for bringing back some memories of what it used to be like. later -1 Last edited by negative1; 10-22-2017 at 04:33 PM. |

Re: 2017-10-20 Underworld Rijksmuseum Amsterdam
Well, I must say that it was a while ago I started to get excited during a Underworld concert...
The only thing still bothering me is indeed the people talking all the time, not dancing and holding their phones up the whole time... These days people have muscles pain in their arms instead of their legs after a concert ![]() Had a nice chat during the gig too ;-) Amsterdam always brings back memories

Re: 2017-10-20 Underworld Rijksmuseum Amsterdam
Yeah sorry. Late night rushing to get it up and I forgot to check the sector boundaries and also noticed I had put the wrong track 1 up instead of a patched version. Should have it back tp later tonight. And we've also done a second version using a reverb plug in to add a bit of ambience to the mono recording. Both versions will be in the folder just download whichever one you prefer or both if you want.
Also hoping to have the Temptation gig with the new sources for two tracks back up on the tracker by the end of the week too. Sorry for the messing about with both shows to those who had already downloaded them. |

This Izotope's Ozone Imager plug-in is free, and does a pretty good job of spreading out a mono signal: https://www.izotope.com/en/products/...ne-imager.html Set it to Width 50, Stereoise On, Amount 1.0 and to my ears it work wonders for this for this gig.

![]() I also feel like I'm listening to out of phase audio, and it's a bit fatiguing after a few minutes. Edit: Bumping the Stereoise anywhere from 3.0 to 20.0 addressed the imaging issue. There certainly is a spectrum of phasing as you scrub through that range. I'll have to listen more, but maybe about 7.0 sounds best to me? |
