Re: 2010-11-20 Brixton Academy, London
So, 15 years of having underworld as the soundtrack to my life and then two live gigs in a year. Strange to find others sharing my love for what Rick and Karl have to say after all that time with just me and my headphones. Anyhow, I'm looking for a way to say thanks to them for the music and opportunity to go ape shit in Brixton. Guess this will do. Spread the love!

Re: 2010-11-20 Brixton Academy, London
Getting some crowdsurfer's boots in my neck is not what I consider a great atmosphere at a concert.
But, alas, this was a long time ago, not at an Underworld gig, and not in Brixton. It was even after my pressure that we ended up seeing Underworld there after I had seen Orbital last year in Brixton and enjoyed it. I'm ok when it comes to push and shove with my 6'1", but please think about the people who are not as tall and big. I'm also pretty sure that you're not one of the idiots who was ruining it for others in Brixton. Like I said: in the front you only had a few asses who were pushing and shoving because they wanted to be noticed by Karl. Normally these people leave after a song or two because they are tired, spilled their drinks or lost their biscuits, but for the rest of us it means we couldn't enjoy the song as much as mr. disco biscuit did. |

Re: 2010-11-20 Brixton Academy, London
Seeing as there will be no 'underworld only' (whatever that means) shows for a long time now, maybe they could do one more brixton gig as a kind of farewell for now to the fans, if all the london fans wanted it? im clutching at straws a bit but if the home crowd really wanted it? they do love us enough

Yeah, I guess that will do as well. I was a big ABBA fan back in the seventies in Hungary, long before I understood I´m gonna live a big chunk of my live in Sweden (just another funny coincidence ). I know I´m gonna hum the "thank you for the music" for my self the rest of the night after that show I'm nothing special, in fact I'm a bit of a bore If I tell a joke, you've probably heard it before But I have a talent, a wonderful thing 'Cause everyone listens when I start to sing I'm so grateful and proud All I want is to sing it out loud So I say Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing Thanks for all the joy they're bringing Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty What would life be? Without a song or a dance what are we? So I say thank you for the music For giving it to me Mother says I was a dancer before I could walk She says I began to sing long before I could talk And I've often wondered, how did it all start Who found out that nothing can capture a heart Like a melody can Well, whoever it was, I'm a fan So I say Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing Thanks for all the joy they're bringing Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty What would life be? Without a song or a dance what are we? So I say thank you for the music For giving it to me I've been so lucky, I am the girl with golden hair I wanna sing it out to everybody What a joy, what a life, what a chance! Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing Thanks for all the joy they're bringing Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty What would life be? Without a song or a dance what are we? So I say thank you for the music For giving it to me Thank you for the music For giving it to me...

I put the setlist up at the Gigography.. http://uwlive.rowla.com/gigs/view/429
Only 1 mention of TMO in this discussion, either it was a forgetful experience, or it wasn't played? I put it in anyway, i assume it was. |
