I would have to agree with you here. I'm a big fan of The Simpsons and my wife is a fanatic, but the past few years have featured some of the worst writing the show has seen during its reign. The new episodes that have aired recently have been devoid of laughs. My wife hopes the show will make it 20 years, but unlesss they get some better writers (or some old ones return) this show will continue to decline.
