I think it's for the archives, too. Probably they watch it to find the mistakes and know what to improve for future shows.

I also compared the live projection to what was actually happening on stage and it didn't match completely. I know there is some delay but sometimes the way Karl was holding his arms and hands didn't match the projections at all, so my guess is that (some of) the projections showing Karl in action are pre-produced...
