So, Skype is kind of old hat, but its been revamped and now works on the web. No download required.

To get to Skype in your browser, go to http://web.skype.com/en but you can also use the link below to directly join the chat.

There is still a Dirty chat and here is the link:

For the record, if you still have an old Skype account that doesnt use your email as login, and you're using a username to login, you need to change that ASAP because that's why you hear reports of people's accounts being hacked. Just go to your Microsoft account security settings and disable your Skype username in "alias preferences". Once you do that, your Skype username (and old Skype password) cannot be used to login to your Microsoft account.
