Re: Post your mixes, music, etc here...
My mixes are entirely done with Ableton 5.
I pick the tracks, then put warp-markers to each of it (sometimes it's easy, sometimes nigh impossible) and then mix the tracks together while recording the whole session.
and i can tell you: it's still not easy. when you have correct warp markers, it will help you with the beatmatching, but that alone doesn't make a mix.

i am in the process of upping my latest live 5 mix as well....but it's different than eiks style....i broke all the songs into loops..separated their intros, outros, builds, phrases etc....and then triggered them in real-time and rearranged them somewhat. also, i keep reason running so i can add hats and pads when i needed them. it's 36 minutes long and a fun experiment. most times, there are at least 3 "songs" playing.

here you can see the difference between an ambitious musician and a wannabe-DJ

Re: Post your mixes, music, etc here...
i'm sitting on a mix of my own, with mostly breaks/trance, but also a few of my AViD originals and remixes i've done. but it's 65 MB...too big for free Rapidshare, and i don't want to split it or decrease the bitrate to shrink it (it's at 128kps now). Not having too much luck with other filesharing/yousendit things. Does anyone know of some free webhosting with decent storage? thanks...

i pulled the zip file for a couple of hours, because track 5 played fine in winamp but not in wmp or itunes. oops! it's been fixed. sorry about that.

if you already got the old zip file, you can just get the fixed track 5:

if you had not gotten the zip file yet, it has been updated and re-uploaded.

thanks.
