new classics: Best post 2000 live sets?
So much (deserved) nostalgia for the 'mk2' era shows, when they've had some incredible sets in the last decade and a half.
I'm listening to 2008-02-04 DocksCLUB at Hamburg Germany and what a raw playful show this is. Rough too, there's a number of mistakes (including 8 seconds of Puppies, interestingly!), but the performances are held together extremely well in spite of the "mistakes". Highlight is the nearly 14 minute long performance of Two Months Off. The interludes between songs are better executed than most sets from around this time too. Shame there wasn't a LHN of this gig. What are your favorite post-Darren sets? |

02 creamfields
peel session (possibly their best set of all time? I certainly think it's a strong contender) 05 sofia/benicassim/exit everything from LHN :P Heineken, Roundhouse 1, Birmingham are particular highlights for me. 09 oakland '10 KCRW cause despite the static setlist, the sunday AM playtime for this gives it a VERY different vibe than the rest of the tour. K was /rather/ sick during this leg of the tour and you can hear the band's exhaustion in the set. It starts off slower (this is probably my favorite bird1 rendition) and by the time they get to rez/cowgirl they've completely reinvigorated themselves, or maybe just the tea/coffee had kicked in :P '14 Maida vale |

Re: new classics: Best post 2000 live sets?
This thread has got me going through my old bootlegs, and remembering how great the 2005-era shows were. We got stuff from the RiverRun, and lots of Darren Price interludes like Five ft Five, Moroccan Meatballs, Shake That Higher, small conker and a twix, aquafunk, yard beat, and some early stuff from OWB, like Globe= early Holding the Moth.
Sofia, Bulgaria 6 7 05 Luxembourg 11 11 05 Electraglide Tokyo 25 11 05 Electraglide Osaka 26 11 05. All smashing! I liked a lot of the 2002-2003 shows because if the interlude improvs. Totally agree with above comments that a lot of the LHN setlists 07-08 were outstanding. Basically, I love any UW gig when they preview new tracks in progress, tracks that never see studio release, or deep album cuts besides the expected. So, basically everything pre-2010

Re: new classics: Best post 2000 live sets?
I love the Hugo D night in Ahoy Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Around 1988. Playing in the middle of the huge venue. Tracks like 5 points. Early Push Upstairs. Original Born Slippy and the reversed Juanita. Starting with to dream... lots of improv as well.
I only have this vhs copy with bad sound, anyone has a better version. Maybe the one like: https://www.discogs.com/Underworld-H...elease/1217135 ? |

I would like to have a copy of this bootleg? Incomplete not problem. Would be nice to hear a better audio recording than the vhs version. Can you send me private email?
