Box Set Arrived!
Wow, this is absolutely stunning. Seriously well made, beautiful, and well worth the price.
Full marks to UW for the packaging & design, and for getting it through my door before disc 2 hit the p2p networks - a lot of lessons could be learned by the rest of the industry ![]() My signed art print is number 454/650.... and if you'll excuse me, I have to go listen to CD2 now! |

Re: Box Set Arrived!
Confirmation that the alternate versions disc was for us dirts...an extract from the box book is below. Really impressed with the quality of the box set - I kind of feel this box set (including the alternate versions disc) really was 'hand-crafted' for the fans...
![]() "Much of the material on Barking took years to become the tracks you've just purchased. You may have heard some of them in one form or another at gigs, on internet radio broadcasts from Lemonworld, maybe even on the Live Here Now series of releases. Judging by what we've read on the Dirty Forums, some of you will prefer them to the actual finished article! This collection is made up of versions of the tracks that eventually made up Barking at certain points in their development. They are neither the first nor the last takes, the best or the worst, the point at which we thought we had a smash, or the point at which we held our heads in our hands. They are'nt even the place at which we handed them over to our wonderful co-producers on the album. What they represent is part of the process and a place where we got really excited about what we were creating. Peace. Rick & Karl Last edited by whatmakesustick; 09-11-2010 at 07:34 AM. |
